Don’t Buy an Ozone Generator … yet!

Buy Wrong and Regret it Later

One of the classic mistakes happens when someone discovers the great value of ozone to solve odor, mold, infectious diseases, and air quality issues. That mistake is buying an ozone generator from an online promoter before learning how to offer professional ozone services.

We strongly suggest that everyone take the Certified Ozone Technician course BEFORE they buy any ozone machine. Once you get the idea of starting an ozone business, that enthusiasm pushes people to buy a lot of items before they know which items they need.

Every startup business must watch their “Cash Burn” cycle, meaning you need to buy smart and conserve your money until your company turns profitable. It is easy to assume that everyone will be as enthusiastic about ozone as you are. This too is a mistake. You will have to earn your reputation in the community and build your customer base.

We see online ozone promoters pushing their equipment. 90% of the time, the equipment is either too small or too big. In fact, there is a “Sweet Spot” we have found is best for most ozone applications. A too small ozone generator forces the service to run for 8-12 hours, and you can’t make money spending that much time on the job.

The too big ozone generators are heavy and strategically foolish as a large central machine means the service has to use fans to move the ozone through the building. If the big machine goes down, the repair is expensive and your business is on hold.

Get your education first before spending your money buying equipment and supplies. It too often happens that the premature purchase decision is regretted later. The right decision will likely save your new service hundreds, even thousands of dollars.
