Remove Exterior Mold

Whether mold on the western side of your house, mold on porches and fences, or that creeping mold in concrete, there are some great ways to kill the mold, remove the stains, and keep it from coming back.

Start with a pump or power sprayer to first kill the mold. We use a 20/gram solution of CD Plus and an ounce of Soil Break in water to kill and power off the obvious mold on the surface. Since CD Plus is a pH of 6.4 (water is 7.2), CD plus will not bleach the material or harm plants.

Step Two would be to agitate heavily molded areas to get rid of the mold and expose the surface of the wood, vinyl, or concrete. The spray may do the job, but heavy mold growth may need a stiff brush and a second spray to clean off the surface.

Step Three is to use the same pump sprayer to apply a good saturation of Break the Mold. Mix 1-2 ounces of Break the Mold into a gallon of warm water. If you want a clinging foam, mix one ounce of Soil Break to the Break the Mold solution and use a foaming top on the sprayer.

Every job is different, but these two steps can be repeated as needed. Be sure to protect your mouth, nose, and eyes with the proper protection per the product since there is a level of protection needed with most mold removal products.

Finally, if you want to prevent the mold from returning (or extend the time between cleaning), you will want to apply our ChitoShield product that is an organic biostatic product that inhibits future mold growth on these surfaces. This process is applied in a very fine mist with a pump sprayer.
